RECEPTIONS

here is something magical about taking vows in a natural setting with hundred year old oak trees as your witness. The reception however is under cover as you are surrounded with twinkle lights. The party may spill out onto the lawn, at the dock, by the pool, or around a band and bonfire...it is a comfortable setting for all with a little planning. For a Disc Jockey we use Central Arkansas Entertainment exclusively. Or, we have outdoor speakers and can play your own cd. If you want a band, that is fine too!

A Magnolia Hill reception is true Southern style, mixing formal with the informal...in a personalized, welcoming way.

Tables are furnished for the Wedding Cake table, Grooms cake, gift tables, video and food tables.

Reception tables are skirted in ivory tableskirts, to compliment our gold chavari chairs included with the venue. (as shown below)

Each of the reception tables may be dressed up with an overlay of fabric or left clean and simple.

As an outdoor wedding and reception venue, we have to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature offers. Our caterer is Catering Creations exclusively and quite flexible in offering a southern menu to both your taste and budget. Our food tables may be moved under cover should it rain. Of course, a tent is always an option too, and sometimes just what our bride has dreamed of. Our grand lawn may be tented should you decide to rent a tent.

For some of our sweetest weddings, the reception has been only cake and punch.(Along with our well-known Magnolia Hill Peach Tea).

Formal or informal, we provide a neutral decor pallet that is easy to work with.

For the most romantic evening ever, we add dramatic lighting to your event with the draping of twinkle lights everywhere. For summer weddings, a water cooling Misting System cools the night air.

The basic layout for our reception keeps guest tables to the perimeter and leaves the middle of the floor open which is perfect for dancing.

You can even add an adhesive decal of your monogram to personalize the dance floor. (as above)

We provide a guest book table for both the ceremony and the reception area.

A tree near the reception area serves as our "Memory Tree" embellished with string, clothespins, and your family pictures.

Guests enjoy viewing wedding gowns on display from our brides mothers and grandmothers.

Food and Beverage:

You are welcome to provide your own alcoholic beverages but we provide the required bartender.

Catering is exclusively by Catering Creations.

You are welcome to contract your own cake bakery or we can help with that too.

Planning:

Our staff at Catering Creations will help you plan your reception, seating, linens, beverage, and give you the use of their vast expertise in planning at this facility.

Floral:

You are welcome to provide your own decorating but if you need assistance we can provide you complete floral services. If you live out of state, we can take care of all the details in a Destination Wedding. Near or far.... if you are looking for a place that does it all -- we can!

In the fall, relax around a bonfire with smores for a "grooms cake".

We use Central Arkansas Entertainment exclusively for Disc Jockey and Photo Booth for the best parties ever. They can book a band, guitarist, harpist, or string ensemble.

As an option, we can set up a stage for your band down by the bonfire and right on the water's edge. Perhaps instead of a traditional grooms cake, we provide a table for smores to be enjoyed around the music and bonfire. Young and old alike still love to roast marshmallows.

Easy to hold, Pecan Tassies are great by the bonfire too!

In selecting a caterer for Magnolia Hill, this was the easiest decision of all. We work with the professional and creative talents of Catering Creations. The owner has spoiled us with giving our brides masterful and fabulous selections.

As we love great food at a reasonable price, I firmly believe that any event must include a spread of fabulous fare. For that reason, we offer Catering Creations as our Exclusive caterer for you to choose your menu with care.

For fall, our hay wagon serves as a dessert buffet with miniature pies and tarts ...and offers guests warm cocoa, coffee, or warm apple cider.

From beginning to the very end...it is a magical day at Magnolia Hill. We have an optional package of Fireworks to light up the night sky at your reception. The couple leaves in our 1938 vintage Packard with a Mr. & Mrs. salute in fireworks. Silver fountains go off as the car pulls down the driveway.
